It now enjoys an international reputation as an innovative specialist museum and as an association for preserving the art and history of Salzburg. During its initial phase as a mining museum, the establishment of the Gothic as a focal point and the process of successfully linking the boom in mining to a boom in art, the goal has always been to spread a shared sense of enthusiasm.
